Between city and sky

With nothing to obstruct it, the view is endless. A view all the way to the horizon – in all directions.
Located 33 floors above the streets of Berlin, the Skybar is 110 metres up and feels like the centre of the metropolis. Between the TV tower and radio tower, above Ku’damm and Memorial Church.
will be created here by 2016: popular retail spaces on Kurfürstendamm, offices in a prominent location and the largest Motel One Group hotel to date.
The first building on Kurfürstendamm is very much a remarkable address. Here, at number 11, the most popular shopping street in Germany begins.
The complex’s tower measures 118 metres and will be one of Berlin’s highest buildings along with the Waldorf Astoria.
in a prime location: 14,000 square metres in the tower and a further 6,500 square metres directly on Kurfürstendamm. A panoramic view and famous neighbours like Memorial Church, the zoo or KaDeWe make this location something really special.

The completion of an

urban-design vision

‘The old “new west” of Berlin is a neighbourhood that has grown over more than 100 years and, with its functioning blend of working, living, shopping, culture and leisure, has become the epitome of a European metropolis. For some years now, these existing qualities have come to the fore as can be seen in the high level of investment around Breitscheidplatz. We are delighted to be involved in this development and to do our part with UPPER WEST, in both urban and economical terms.’

Thomas Hohwieler
CEO of STRABAG Real Estate

‘UPPER WEST completes the urban gateway setting at the entrance to Kantstrasse. Its white facade has the elegance of a net-like skin and makes the tower look like a monolithic sculpture.’

Workroom with a view

The tower offices provide approximately 1.000 square meters per floor of flexibly and individually designable areas. From the 19th to the 32nd upper floors one enjoys during work a marvellous view over town. Whether individual offices for focussed working or a dynamic team-orientated open-office-structure: all tenant requirements can be answered to.

The best adress in town

The office space at Kurfürstendamm 11 reside in an unique location. Right here the famous boulevard begins. The flexible floor plans with up to 1,200 square meters per floor can be individually customised to tenant requirements.

The first building on Kurfürstendamm

A melting pot deluxe. The most famous shopping streets in Germany meet at UPPER WEST: Kurfürstendamm and Tauentzien with KaDeWe. Around 300 shops with over 200,000 square metres of sales floor tempt Berliners and tourists at the most popular shopping spot in town. In UPPER WEST, around 3,900 square metres of retail space are available from the first floor down to the first basement floor.

The Motel One flagship will be the largest hotel in the Group to date, with around 580 rooms over 18 floors. On the balcony of the breakfast restaurant on the 10th floor, you can enjoy the dynamism of the city even in the morning; then in the evening in the lounge, you can let the impressions of the day sink in.

‘Berlin, like London or Paris, is one of Europe’s top destinations and also promises potential for further growth in the future.’
Dieter Müller, CEO of the Motel One Group

In the skies above Berlin

In the Skybar 110 metres up, the view is impressive. Around 1,000 square metres above the city’s rooftops – a good place for inspiration and thinking outside the box over lunch or a business dinner.

Western Berlin – legendary for its flair

The most famous emporium of temptations for over 100 years –KaDeWe on Wittenbergplatz.

Heaven on earth
– the cobalt-blue light in
Memorial Church on
Breitscheidplatz is
world famous.

‘City West is on the up.’
It’s not only the Governing Mayor of Berlin Michael Müller who thinks so. The cityscape is indeed changing at the moment, mostly vertically. Following Zoofenster, UPPER WEST is set to be one of the tallest skyscrapers to reach for the heavens, dominating the western centre of Berlin. From up there, you get a spectacular view of t he city and of this so diverse neighbourhood. You find yourself in the middle of a district that has been renowned far beyond city limits for over a hundred years, a place that embodies Berlin flair like no other. Then known as the ‚‘new west’, it is popular today as a place to live, work, play and shop in the bustling centre of western Berlin.

Small and beautiful – dinner at the French restaurant Heising on Rankestrasse.
Farmhouse breakfast from half past six, snacking on tramezzini, indulging in a teatime cake selection, and diving headlong into the goings-on on Kurfürstendamm for dinner – Reinhard’s at Kempinski.
The best-known boulevard in Germany for over 125 years – Kurfürstendamm.
Berlin’s prettiest beer garden – the Schleusenkrug in the Tiergarten.
Berlin’s unique creations are its hallmark – C. Adolph’s wonderful ironmongery on Savignyplatz.
In 1844, the first zoo in Germany was opened. Once on the outskirts of the city, today it is an exotic oasis right in the thick of it.

The worst-kept secret – local and international starlets get together at the Paris Bar, diagonally opposite Stilwerk.

The day’s work is done. one

last glance – enjoy the atmosphere

and look forward to tomorrow.
